L.B. Foster Transit Products has supplied our customers with reliable two block tie and rubber boot systems since the early 1980s.

The L.B. Foster two-block tie system was originally designed and developed for MTA in Baltimore.

This product is designed to provide our customers with the following:

  • Rapid yet efficient slab track construction under certain conditions

  • Noise and vibration mitigation in certain frequency ranges

  • Electrical leakage prevention

  • Improved lateral restraint in curved ballasted applications

The two block and elastomer booted systems can be provided either:

  • With a gage bar, as shown in the picture below; or

  • Without the bar with deeper engagement of the system within the concrete structure to provide gage widening restraint.

This product can be provided for any rail section.

Customers include Baltimore MTA.
