L.B. Foster's Subsidiary, CXT® Inc., Manufactured and Delivered a New Product from their Hillsboro Location

L.B. Foster’s subsidiary, CXT® Inc., completed the first manufacturing and delivery of their new product, box culverts.
In October 2024, the Hillsboro location’s quality control, safety, and operations teams worked closely together to complete training and a plan of action to implement the manufacturing of box culverts using new forms. The first purchase order was received on December 4, 2024 for 98 linear feet of 5x3 box culvert and casting was completed on December 18th and shipped on December 19th.
The safety and quality teams conducted Behavioral Based Safety Observations (BBSO) audits and their involvement during this stage significantly contributed to the expectations of safety-first and exceptional quality. Their teamwork and sense of urgency without sacrificing safety and quality, resulted in a 100% acceptance rate and on-time delivery.
The expertise of the CXT facilities and employees in the box culvert market allowed the Hillsboro location to successfully integrate this product into their portfolio.
