On Monday, July 21, 2025, CXT® Inc., L.B. Foster’s subsidiary, donated and installed a Cortez concrete restroom building to the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum in Washington, PA.
The Cortez flush restroom building is 10’ 3” x 17' that features two separate, single-user fully-accessible flush restrooms that each include a vitreous china sink and water closet, mirror, coat hook, ADA grab bars, a toilet paper dispenser, and interior and exterior LED lights. The restroom that was donated to the museum also includes an ADA dual height drinking fountain.
Matt Stollar, Production Manager, said, “It’s great to support our local communities. The work they’re doing at the Tolley Museum, keeping history alive, is very important. It was a pleasure to be involved with the production and installation of the CXT building being donated. Everything went very well, a true testament to the professionalism of all those involved.”
The restroom building for the Trolley Museum was equipped with textures and paints that match the aesthetic of the museum’s Welcome & Education Center. The exterior’s texture is board & batt with fired brick red wall color. The roof texture is cedar shake with a hunt club green roof and trim color.
Jeanine L. DeBor, J.D., Executive Director & CEO of the PA Trolley Museum, commented, “The Cortez modular restroom is a wonderful facility and is a great addition to our outdoor multi-purpose area. It is a much-needed amenity for our visitors and will allow us to hold more events outside and after hours. The CXT, trucking, and crane crews were extremely professional. We are grateful to L.B. Foster for their generosity and partnership!”
Brandan Wheeler, Quality Manager I, said, "I have been with the Company for just over 19 years and have been involved with many aspects of the business. I have had the pleasure of installing bridge beams and box culverts and have seen the final completed product in place. Now, being the Quality Manager, it means so much more to me to be able to be a part of the donation of a CXT building to a history museum. When I watched the install process of the building I was able to communicate with the actual customers who expressed how happy they were with the building and how much the donation meant to them. This not only makes me feel better as a person, but it lets me know that everyone involved in the production and installation of the building are true professionals and take pride in their work."
We are proud to support the Trolley Museum and are honored to provide a restroom building that is strategically located near their trolley tracks that run around the main building. L.B. Foster and CXT are honored to contribute to the museum by providing a facility that will serve their guests for generations to come.
