Fully Filled Grid Decks or welded steel grid decks with full depth concrete infill are the oldest grid reinforced concrete decks on the market. This system can be designed to span up to approximately 10 feet. This grid is an excellent choice where dead-load reduction is not a primary goal but speed of construction, long term durability and low cost are key decision making factors.

Exodermic™ Decks or unfilled steel grid decks composite with a reinforced concrete slab are the most structurally efficient grid deck systems available, and offer increased span capacities and a slight weight advantage over half filled grid decks. Common configurations shown in the design table can span up to about 15 feet, but other WT main bar sizes can be used to achieve longer spans.
