On September 15, 2025, CXT ® Inc., a subsidiary of L.B. Foster and a licensee of Envirokeeper®, LLC, successfully installed the first Envirokeeper® Stormwater Management system at a multifamily, residential development in Nashville, Tennessee. This milestone marks the beginning of a two-phase installation designed to support an 184-unit apartment complex.
The west underground detention system was successfully installed in approximately seven hours. With a system volume of 10,723 cubic feet, the Envirokeeper underground detention system is designed to temporarily detain stormwater and release it at a controlled rate, helping to prevent drainage system overflows during heavy rain events. The underground design also allows for dual land use, with parking lot construction underway directly above the system to maximize property utility.
The larger East Detention System, with a volume of 38,884 cubic feet, installation began on November 17, 2025 and was completed on November 19, 2025. The project was finished on the customer’s original schedule of a three-day install.
“Envirokeeper detention systems provide stormwater management detention solutions for applications where the flow of stormwater needs to be controlled by temporarily detaining it and allowing it to be discharged at a controlled rate,” said Andrew Sons, Outside Sales Representative III. “Detention applications help prevent drainage system overflows by collecting large amounts of water during a storm event, then regulating the amount of stormwater allowed to enter a storm drain system over time.”
The contracting company who worked with CXT to install the system, praised the ease of installation compared to other systems they’ve used. CXT’s Lebanon Plant played a key role in meeting the installation deadline and delivering a high-quality product. Dispatch ensured that each piece was loaded and delivered in the correct sequence, avoiding delays in the field.
Cheryl Draper, Project Manager, was commended for her exceptional attention to detail, which was instrumental in the smooth execution of the installation. Larry Taylor, Outside Sales Representative IV, a seasoned expert in Envirokeeper systems, also provided valuable support throughout the process.
This project highlights the collaborative effort and technical precision required to implement innovative stormwater management solutions in urban developments. With the East System installation on the horizon, CXT® Inc. continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable infrastructure and efficient project delivery.
