Four members of our subsidiary, CXT Inc., graduated as Master Precasters at National Precast Concrete Association's (NPCA) The Precast Show in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 5-7, 2025.

During the ceremony, the Master Precaster program recognized the individuals who graduated and completed the program. The NPCA Master Precaster program consists of five precast comprehensive education courses in NPCA’s Production and Quality School (PQS) curriculum that includes safety, production, quality, technical (industry specifications), and leadership. It takes years of intentional work, focus, and study to complete the program. The program requires online courses and advanced courses to be taken at the annual convention in order to graduate from this program. All graduates are recognized with diplomas and gold hard hats at the annual Precast show.
The CXT employees who graduated were James Dowler, QC Foreman, Robert Saucedo, Production Manager, Julio Rojo, Production Supervisor II, and Tyler Groner, Design Engineer II. James works at our CXT Waverly, WV site, Robert and Julio at our CXT Hillsboro, TX site, and Tyler at our Nampa location.
When reflecting on his accomplishment, James commented, “I want to thank the Company and the team here at Waverly for the support and opportunity for growth and development. Brandan has been a champion for me to continue learning and it is greatly appreciated.” He concluded, “Knowledge is key; in order to support our people, ourselves, and our business we must always be looking to develop and learn.”
Describing his experience, Robert explained, “CXT is the first company that I have worked for that invests in its employees to this extent, so first I would like to thank CXT for the vision and understanding the importance this type of training has for our future. Next, I want to say that NPCA has done an outstanding job of putting the course outline together for the Master Precaster certification and I like that they are active in soliciting feedback from companies on how they can make it better.” He finished, “This course along with the NPCA Onboarding courses will help us to continue to build safety, quality, and efficiency into our production processes into the future.”
Tyler considered his journey and said, “I am very grateful to be able to work for a company that is willing to invest in its team. Not many places would be willing to invest the time and money that this program takes, so I am very appreciative CXT is willing to do that.” He added, “I am a design engineer here at CXT in Nampa, Idaho, and having this opportunity has been a great asset for our quality and production team here, as well as for my own personal growth and professional experience. My boss, Randy Rood, has also played a great role in being open to me learning more about precast, and I am very grateful for his support.”
Jason Busby, GM, Precast Products, Hillsboro, offered his applause, “Congratulations Robert and Julio! You guys are setting the example for all Hillsboro associates and are our future. We keep raising the bar and you both are among the first to raise your hands and accept the challenge. Great job and I’m proud of you both.”
