L.B. Foster Service Week 2025

During the week of September 8, 2025, L.B. Foster participated in works of service across the Company. Volunteer events included packaging food at a local food bank, donating furniture to college students in need, sorting clothing donations, and donating items to a dog shelter.
It was great to see our locations come together and support the communities that we operate in. Some of our employees shared their thoughts about their service week experience:
Our Dublin, OH team members volunteered at One Dublin, a community free shop serving Dublin City School District. Marty Cherup, Plant Manager, said, “From the moment we walked in you could see this was one well-run store. It was very rewarding to work with our team giving back to the community. I was very impressed also with how they welcome volunteers.”
From our Sheffield, UK team Jon Paragreen, Sector Manager, visited the S2 Foodbank and said, “I thought that helping out at the S2 foodbank was a great way to support a very worthy charity which is helping some of those most at need in Sheffield. By volunteering it gave me a much greater appreciation for the work that they carry out, the problems that they face with funding, but also the great work that they are also doing in supporting local residents to get out of debt as well as providing this foodbank lifeline for them, trying long term to break their dependence on this service.”
Employees at headquarters visited the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Reed Swanson, Treasury Analyst II, commented about his experience, “Volunteering at the Food Bank was a rewarding experience that allowed me to give back and support those in need within our community. I'm thankful for the opportunity to contribute and be a part of such an impactful event.”
Thank you to our employees who participated in the 2025 service week and live out our culture and values each day.
