L.B. Foster's subsidiary, CXT® Inc., manufactures concrete buildings that are being used throughout the state of Pennsylvania in a project for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources ordered 33 concrete restroom buildings, including the Cascadian, Rocky Mountain, Double Rocky Mountain, Cortez, and Taos.
The Cascadian, Rocky Mountain, and Double Rocky Mountain are vault restroom buildings, and the Cortez and Taos are flush restroom buildings. The standard features of our vault restrooms include white plastic toilet riser with lid, ADA grab bars, stainless steel toilet paper holder, and polyethylene lined concrete vault.
CXT’s vault and flush restroom buildings are manufactured with high-strength precast concrete walls and roofs and are aesthetically designed in multiple floor plans, colors, and textures. Our flush restroom’s standard features include vitreous china fixtures, stainless steel toilet paper holders, 4-gallon water heater, and interior and exterior lights.
The restroom buildings are being installed across Pennsylvania, in state parks, forest districts, trail heads, parking areas, boat launches, campgrounds, and day-use areas.
A representative from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources said:
We chose to install CXT concrete buildings, because their restroom vault buildings are high quality, easy to maintain, and can be installed at locations with a wide range of site constraints such as topography or dense forested areas.
The structural manufacturing of the 33 buildings was completed in April of 2023, and installation began in May of 2023. Installation continued throughout 2023, and the remaining 19 buildings will be fully installed by June of 2024.
CXT concrete buildings are simple to install, ready to use, and easy to maintain. They are prefabricated and delivered complete to the installation site. Contact us today to learn more about how our precast concrete buildings are used to enhance the environment and your park or recreation area.
