Envirocast® Wall System Introduces 8-Inch Walls into Their Portfolio

On November 19, 2025, the first 8-inch-thick Envirocast® Wall System panels were poured by L.B. Foster’s subsidiary, CXT® Inc., at the Leesburg, FL plant.
CXT’s Leesburg, FL plant designed the 8-inch-thick panels to be used by a customer for the first and second floor walls of a 2,000-square-foot home and the walls for a 950-square-foot Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU), both on the same site in Gainesville, FL.
The new 8-inch-thick walls provide an alternative to the standard 10.5-inch design, making it easier to replace walls in Florida homes that typically use 8-inch concrete blocks. The 8-inch-thick product is ideal for production homebuilders with tight lot lines and minimum room sizes. The installation of the walls for the homes in this project is scheduled for the first week of December.
