L.B. Foster exhibited at the National Highway-Rail Grade Crossing Safety Conference this past week and generated plenty of interest in our Grade Crossing Monitoring System and Anti-Trespass Panels.
This conference was attended by a number of federal, state and local officials as well as key freight railroad executives who listened to a wide range of speakers address issues around reducing accidents in and nearby grade crossings. Our Grade Crossing Monitoring system uses Light Detecting and Ranging (LIDAR) technology to diminish accidents involving vehicles and pedestrians by accurately detecting objects in the crossings and then warning system operators. The Anti-Trespass Panels have been found to be able to reduce trespassing on track by 38% by passive deterrence without impeding train flow.
